Science World's Cool Globes 2

On tour since 2005, the Cool Globes have travelled the world promoting its message in finding solutions to global warming. It's current (and final?) stop is at Science World, the iconic science center on the end of False Creek.  Wendy Abrams, the founder of this traveling arts program thought of herself as a normal person, and not an environmentalist.  However, after reading a story in Time Magazine, she became bewildered by the chasm of discrepancy between scientists call for change and for the public's general apathy and unconcern.  She became part of Bill Clinton's Global Initiative and used an idea she came up with friends to get the public involved by creating "public art with a purpose."  The show was developed in Chicago  and proved so incredibly popular that it went on tour spreading environmental awareness along its path.
